10 Things That You Never Expected Enterprise Chatbots To Change

Everyone is talking about chatbots and what they can do.

In this article, we will get straight to the point of how chatbots have created the changes around us and are reshaping our future.

Here are 10 things that you never expected enterprise chatbots to change:

1. Customer Service

Customer service is putting to work chatbot agents all over the net.

They have proven, so far, to be more efficient than call centers and the annoying menus encountered upon calling a 1-800 number.

Now, you can speak instantly to a bot online who can answer your inquiries within seconds!

And, if the bot can’t help, a live agent is only a chat away.

2. The Way We Shop

Who would imagine that we will be able to shop from inside a Messaging App? Or, to be able to talk to Alexa who puts products into a shopping cart for us?

Today, voice activation is all that is required to shop online with chatbots!

3. Layer

Hire the “Layer” chatbot. This is really amazing, as this is something that blows my mind.

Now you can sue Equifax with the use of the DoNotPay Bot, and it will be free for a sum up to $25,000. The DoNotPay Bot already has proven itself to be useful, and the main reason for its creation was, “Don’t pay your parking ticket.” In fact, it has helped a lot of people with their parking tickets.

4. Insurance

What the insurance industry is doing is putting chatbots to use to make it easier for people to shop for their policies and to reach a claim agent “chatbot” 24/7.

This will and is changing the insurance industry forever.

5. Market Research

Marketing research, in the past, was a pretty costly thing to do, by hiring a company that would provide the market research for you.

With chatbots, the industry is changing rapidly, and with chatbot interaction, we can gather useful data at no cost at all.

6. Working Environment

This one is pretty impressive ─ Everyone can have their own personal assistant.

A Virtual Assistant, or VA, will help with your day to day tasks and work along with your team members’ tasks. Plus, it will constantly update you on the project’s success, and so many other things too.

A chatbot VA definitely deserves a thumbs up!

7. Marketing

Peoples’ massive use of Messaging Apps gives chatbots the ability to promote your products inside the Messaging App.

This is an opportunity for companies to establish a successful and much more targeted marketing strategy.

With the use of a chatbot as a marketing promoter, it will lower the cost of your marketing campaign.

8. Health

Baidu is launching Dr.Bot who will help patients by giving information about their problems before they see an actual doctor.

With Dr.Bot, you will skip the lines, and it will be easier and less embarrassing to ask personal questions, as well.

The Health Industry is not quite there yet, but I believe that chatbots will impact this industry, as well, by helping people in life-threatening situations by monitoring their health and giving constant updates to their doctors.

9. Travel

The tourism industry can benefit a lot from chatbot development.

Chatbots can serve as a companion on your vacation. With their enormous databases, a chatbot can provide you with insights and tips of your surroundings and offer suggestions of things to do.

It will have the feeling of hiring a personal tour guide.

10. App Industry

With the rise of bots, we are finding ourselves in the crossroads of a changing App industry.

There are so many useless Apps today that they are making the chatbot’s abilities much more efficient.

With chatbot implementation into messaging Apps, developers cut the process of downloading and installing, and you can use the bot instantly.

With these changes, a new gateway of interactive Apps has opened for developers, and it is implementing a new way of interacting human vs. human Apps, as well.

How Do I Create a Conversation Flow?

• Press the “Build” button and select “Conversation Flow.”
• Insert the name of the Conversation Flow and press the “Save” button. For Example: Contact Information, Customer Support Flow, etc.
• On the next screen, add a conversation item to the flow. It`s easy with drag and drop in the work area.
• Fill in the fields, enter the text button, and click “Next.” If you want to add more buttons, press the “Add” link.
• You will see a screen with a preview of the buttons, and now, press “Save.”

Here are few more options that you can use:
• You can also insert an image with buttons in the conversation flow.
• You can add an option to connect the flow components.
• You can integrate the flow, with the Natural Language Processor.

What is the Result?

The bot is now ready; you can try it, and check out how good it is.

When logged in, if you require help, select the help feature from the menu that will provide you with the User Guide. Additionally, feel free to contact support.

You already have made your chatbot, and also have integrated it with Facebook, and now, all you have to do is to connect it to Slack and integrate from inside the Slack platform.

How Chatbots Can Make You Happy

In the last couple of years, companies increasingly started to implement bots into their platforms, which helped to simplify things for us and save us time.

It becomes natural for us to use bots even if we are aware that we are using one.

For example,

Do you remember what you did 10 – 15 years ago? Simple things that we are doing now that were so much more complicated and time-consuming at that time?

I remember when I needed to go somewhere where I haven’t been before and I was using MapQuest and would print out directions so I could get there quicker instead of wondering around.

Now, with Google Maps, I can go anywhere I want, and the bot will give me step by step directions, right from my phone.

Doesn’t this make you happy? However, we are so used to the new technology we are using now that we forget how it was before.

And don’t forget how frustrating it is when we are stuck in traffic and lose so much time ─ but now with Google, it can re-route us so we can skip the accidents to save us time.

How Chatbots Can Make You Happy

We are regularly using this technology, and we are, in fact, happier because we don’t have to get up to play music as Alexa can do that for us.

Or, we don’t have to do constant searches of what movie we want to watch as Netflix will help us with a suggestion from our previous movies that we watched.

Happiness

But what in fact is Happiness?

Philosophically, it’s translated from the Greek word “eudaimonia” and refers to “the good life, ” and we have to be honest that the quality of life is better with the inventions and use of new technologies and should become even become better over time.

With this being said, if we have a better life, we will, in fact, be happier but what if we talked about “Happy” as an emotion in which the philosophy is defined as an emotion?

Can bots make us feel joy? Can they make us laugh? I think that they are in the first stage of accomplishing this and because they are new, for example, when I bought Amazon`s Echo, I was feeling joy that she could tell me a bad joke and play my music.

Voice Activation Fun

With the Voice Activation feature and with the options companies provide the bots with, they feel more as a human-like presence in the room.

Engineers and developers don’t waste time as they are pursuing Hollywood’s movies to make them a reality.

I was especially thrilled when I found about Jibo, “The first social family robot,” because they pushed the boundaries a little more.

Then Amazon gave movement and face to their bot, and Asus gave us the Zenbo with the ability to move. It looks like soon, they will add the presence of WalL-E into our lives.

If you Google or search Wikipedia for Wall-E, you will find this information:

WALLE is a 2008 American computer-animated science fiction comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures.

I want to correct them and scratch the  ─ SCIENCE FICTION ─  part of the sentence!
